India

The splendor of its varied landscapes, ranging from the mystical Himalayas and clear lakes of Kerala to the colorful desert dunes of Rajasthan, knows no bounds. A journey here takes you from huge cities full of hustle and bustle to forgotten mud hut villages where empires once ruled. Not to be forgotten is the diverse wildlife found in the country's many national parks - and if you're lucky, you might even get to see a rare Indian tiger.

Most tourists gather their first impressions of India during a trip through the so-called "Golden Triangle", which, in addition to visiting the impressive Taj Mahal, also brings out the most famous facets of northern India. The south with its contrasts of tradition and modernity makes its visitors enthuse about its wonders. The east and the west of India boast many fascinating aspects which make travelers want to visit this facet-rich country more than once.

A trip to India with SITA always includes a few special highlights in addition to visiting the well-known sights. Be it a culinary walk through Old Delhi, where you are sure to discover your new favorite dish, a yoga lesson with a real guru in a former Maharajah's palace or an overnight stay on a houseboat in Kerala with a visit to the surrounding small villages - with SITA almost anything is possible in India.
