Destination Management Company (DMC) Mauritius
A tropical paradise under palm trees, Mauritius in the Indian Ocean is one of the most picturesque island destinations in the world. Endless white beaches of fine sand bordering the emerald jungle, lively cities and beautiful resorts - this is the stuff dreams are made of here!
The pleasant climate, the small time difference and the wide choice of hotels and resorts make Mauritius particularly popular as a long-haul destination. Stressed souls enjoy peace and relaxation here. However, the island also surprises with its many sights and sports offers. Diving, sailing or surfing awaits the sea lover, while cyclists explore the island on very well-developed roads and hikers discover flora and fauna in the mountains. For honeymooners, families and golfers, the island is a dream destination. Vibrant cities and luxurious resorts offer something for everyone. The influences from Africa, Asia and Europe visibly shaped the cultures here, which coexist harmoniously.

The weather in Port Louis
A visit to the lively island capital Port Louis with its sights is of course a must. When you think of Mauritius, you immediately think of the world-famous stamp "Blue Mauritius", which can be seen here. That the dream island has long been a cultural melting pot is evident from its religious buildings in the capital, including the Catholic St. Louis Cathedral, the Muslim Jummah Mosque, the Chinese Lam Soon Tin Hau Pagoda and the Tamil Minakshi Temple. Sample the culinary delights of Creole cuisine with its Indian, African and European influences. A trip to the Black River Gorges is not to be missed, a national park with many rare plants and animals. Those interested in the island's history as a sugar supplier to the world can visit the new interactive "L'Aventure du Sucre", built on the site of an old sugar mill. The two islands of Reunion and Mauritius are just an hour's flight apart, yet couldn't be more different: The volcanic island of Réunion awaits its visitors with breathtaking mountains, beautiful coastline and lush vegetation, a mecca for hikers - combination strongly recommended!
