Incoming Agency Quimbaya Latin America

The fifth biggest country in the world is also the most densely populated in South America. Brazil, that's music, dancing and football, no matter where you turn! The metropolis Rio de Janeiro is a symbol of joie de vivre with its carnival of colours, feathers and quite a lot of nudity. Dance to Rio's rhythms of Samba and Bossa Nova in its famous samba halls with the locals! Brazil's beaches are lined with palm trees and are partly still unspoilt and wild - but always open to sun worshippers. Discover the gigantic Iguacu falls or the flora and fauna of the Pantanal wetlands from lodges in the Amazon. This is adventure! Apart from Rio and Salvador, the urban hot spots, you should visit the well-preserved colonial cities with their churches and estates in Portuguese style. Rio de Janeiro is one of the venues of the Football World Cup 2014 and main venue of the Olympic Summer Games 2016.

Why not combine Brazil with Argentina or Peru?

Brazil

The best-known metropolis in Brazil is definitely Rio de Janeiro. However, this isn't even the biggest city nor is it the capital. Rio de Janeiro is fascinating because it combines nature, culture and the wonderful joy of living of its inhabitants that every visitor should experience! Society conventions and origin are irrelevant - just enjoy life in Rio de Janeiro! You can feel this way of living wherever you go, whether it be during a stroll along one of the beautiful beaches or while exploring the Corredor Cultural downtown. Here you can discover all the sights that need to be seen like the Sugar Loaf Mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ which you can reach via a cable car. Brazil is not only known and famous for its cities but of course also for its incredibly vast rain forests in the Amazon. It is not really possible to enter this area on your own and explore it independently but luckily, there are many specialised guides who will help you. Make sure to include an adventure trip to the Amazon region while staying in Brazil! The enormous Amazon basin is made up of a web of ecosystems and unique landscapes. A boat trip to the source of the Amazon, the Encontro das águas and to the Parque Nacional do Januário is a must! Try your luck with piranha fishingand look out for wild animals such as dolphins, caimans or iguanas in their natural habitat. Spend an unforgettable night in an amazing jungle lodge right in the middle of the jungle! One of the seven world wonders are the Iguazu waterfalls on the border to Argentina. Almost 300 waterfalls crash down an abyss that's almost 3 kilometres wide and up to 80 metres deep - they don't call it Devil's Throat for nothing! Surrounding this fantastic sight are the seemingly never ending rain forests that now belong to a nature protection area. The Iguazu falls were discovered in 1541 by a Spaniard, prior to that they were used as sacred burial grounds for the indigenous population. One half of Iguazu lies in Brazil, the other in Argentina. Why not combine the two to get the most out of it?
