Incoming Agency Easia Travel

A must for anyone seeking tranquillity and serenity is Laos, still little touched by modern influences. The slogan of Laos, "Simply beautiful", comes across as far too modest. Still relatively untouched by mass tourism, Laos offers travellers the opportunity to enjoy its natural splendour like an explorer. From the stunning Kuang Sy waterfalls to the sleepy ruins of Vat Phou, Laos showcases not only its natural beauty, but also a profound cultural history steeped in history. Night markets, a cave full of Buddha statues and special dance ceremonies will draw your travellers into the heart of this vibrant country.

Laos, or: The discovery of slowness!

Laos, one of the most beautiful countries in Indochina, enchants with cultural highlights and spectacular nature. You can stay in Laos in beautiful lodges in the middle of nature or in high-quality hotels in the cities! What should you definitely have seen in Laos? The beautiful old royal city of Luang Prabang, where Buddhist tradition and Lao architecture combine with European colonial style in unique harmony, the capital Vientiane with its national symbol, the That Luang Stupa, and Pakse, the provincial city on the banks of the Mekong and at the same time starting point for the region of 4000 islands and the impressive Bolaven Plateau - this wonderful country offers you all this and much more.

The state of Laos borders China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. The climate is tropical with high temperatures, although there can be strong regional temperature fluctuations due to the great differences in altitude. The climate is strongly influenced by the monsoons. From May to October, the summer or southwest monsoon prevails and brings heavy rainfall and high humidity. Between November and February, the climate is drier and cooler due to the northeast monsoon. In March and April, the climate is hot and humid.

Capital: Vientiane

Vientiane is the capital of Laos with 750,000 inhabitants and is located on the left bank of the Mekong River, which forms the border with Thailand. Vientiane, often referred to as the "largest village in Asia", is in fact not much of a tourist city. Sights include mainly Buddhist monasteries and some monuments from the French colonial period, such as the famous Patuxai, popularly known as Vientiane's "Arc de Triomphe".

Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang is the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Lane Xang. In recognition of the city's many Lao monuments, countless monasteries and historical and cultural significance, UNESCO declared the whole of Luang Prabang a World Heritage Site in 1995. The city itself lies at the confluence of the Khan and Mekong rivers and is surrounded by deep green hills and waterfalls. The view over dozens of temple roofs from the hill in the city centre at sunset will undoubtedly be an unforgettable memory of Southeast Asia. In addition, Luang Prabang offers many opportunities for unique cultural experiences as well as adventures for all explorers, all nestled in a picturesque landscape of mountains and lush forests.
